Watching Tim leave after losing his composure, Chronos, who had been observing for some time, slowly walked over with two glasses of champagne.
"Won't this actually cause more psychological problems for a teenager, boss?"
Shane supported one elbow with his other hand and rubbed his chin with the bent knuckle of his index finger.
"Strong people don't crumble that easily. And believe it or not, Batman asked me to do some of this."
Chronos was stunned by that alarming revelation.
"Huh? Is he committed to becoming all of Gotham's nightmare, even if one of his victims is a kid he raised who's now living away from home?"
It was a bit of a mouthful, but Shane understood what Chronos meant.
"Maybe it's because he saw how much more mature Injustice Tim was back in the Injustice World. He voluntarily entered the Phantom Zone to look after Injustice Conner, one of the Injustice Titans."
Shane snatched a glass from Chronos's hand at lightning speed, swirled it gently, and began studying the bubbles inside.
"Or maybe meeting that world's Damian reminded him that he still has a biological son out there somewhere in this universe. Even if he's bad at family relationships, he can still work on them through plans and arrangements... Maybe we'll hear the gossip next time Black Wally visits."
Chronos stared at the glass in Shane's hand and opened his mouth. He really wanted to say that he had originally intended to drink both glasses himself.
That extra distraction finally diverted some of Chronos's attention from Tim. "While you were pretending to be dead, boss, he really did try to become a good captain. I saw it all-boss, aren't you under the legal drinking age?"
