That was the advantage of having Batman around.
Once again, Shane felt genuine admiration for Superman's world-famous super brain.

Shane felt no particular emotion at having his dreams of slacking off shattered. Batman was the one doing the heavy lifting now, after all. As support, it was only right for Shane to take a task or two off his hands.
But he could not agree right away. He had to get something out of it first, at least. Otherwise, wouldn't he be letting Batman have him wrapped around his finger?
