The Old-Timers wasn't dead, but after being severed, his head had shrunk to a meter across, and the others took turns examining it.
With a head a meter across, his body was probably only seven or eight meters tall. Presumably, that was his true size.
It was Shane's first time fighting and defeating such a unique, powerful opponent. His urge to collect trophies, which should have faded along with his memories of his time on Viltrum, began to stir.
All he could say was that anyone less versatile, without teammates, absolutely couldn't have defeated The Old-Timers today, even if their ability in a one-on-one fight rivaled his own.
If possible, he would have liked to conquer the world with nothing but his fists.
Turning The Old-Timers' head over and examining it from every angle, Shane clicked his tongue in wonder.
"When I was weaker than Superman, I envied his complex combination of superpowers. Now that I've become an even more versatile fighter than him, I find myself missing the old days of fighting with pure strength."
Amazo, silently dismantling The Old-Timers' body, had no time to respond. Witch Circe, who believed she had just joined this team, showed the perceptiveness one would expect of someone who had lived for so many years.
"What brought on that thought, boss?"
Shane gave the witch an approving look.
"Although we won a team battle that wasn't particularly difficult, if The Old-Timers had gone on a rampage on Earth, he probably would've crushed the Justice League, only for Superman to punch straight through him and defeat him."
Confusion appeared on the witch's face. In Circe's eyes, Earth's Superman was nowhere near as powerful as her new boss. Unable to understand why Shane had suddenly started praising Superman, she could only remain silent.
