"Still no valuable leads?"
In the Hokage Building, Hiruzen Sarutobi asked irritably.
"None!"
Mitokado Homura gave a wry smile. After receiving Kurenai Yuhi's report, they had sent more people to investigate the site of the recent battle, but they had found nothing new. They couldn't even identify the combatants. All they knew was that they were incredibly strong—stronger than anyone could imagine.
Judging by the devastation to the mountains and land alone, the battle had been on a par with the Battle of the Valley of the End between the First Teacher and Madara Uchiha. Clearly, the fighters had been powerful enough to stand at that level.
But neither of them had been the First Teacher or Madara Uchiha. Their fighting styles were completely different.
There were actually two fighters of such extraordinary power in the Ninja World, and that put them under tremendous pressure.
"What about the Hyuga Clan?"
Hiruzen asked again. That place and the mysterious woman were clearly connected to the Hyuga Clan. The things she'd said had been alarming, so the clan had to know some secrets.
Then there was the black Susanoo. Judging solely by the size Kurenai Yuhi had described, it was no weaker than Madara Uchiha's Susanoo had been.
Had Madara Uchiha returned? Or was there another powerful Uchiha?
"Hyuga Hiashi says it has nothing to do with the Hyuga Clan. We also asked to see Hyuga Genka, but they refused."
Anger colored Mitokado Homura's voice. It was clear the Hyuga Clan knew something, yet they were still choosing to keep it hidden. It was infuriating.
" Hiruzen, we can't keep letting the Hyuga Clan do as they please."
Utatane Koharu was furious as well. The Hyuga Clan needed to be taught a lesson and reminded who was in charge of the village.
