I've finished writing. My hands are trembling a little. Mom had to press the publish button for me.

My feelings are complicated right now. I feel a deep sense of loss, as if I've misplaced something.

I've written a few books before, and each one left me with different feelings. This one made me feel like I was suffering and enjoying myself at the same time.

Just like with love, I guess the most tangled-up relationships are the hardest to forget. (That's just my guess; don't hold me responsible if I'm wrong.)

I'm tired. Truly exhausted.

This book was published when I'd just started working, back in September 2023. It's been thirteen months—nearly 400 days—since then.

Working life really is different from college. I was often busy with work during the day, then stayed up late to write this book at night. Time was tight, and the exhaustion piled up.

So, dear readers, it's not that I don't want to post extra chapters. I'm completely worn out. I really can't manage it!

But it wasn't all exhaustion. There was happiness, too, and a sense of accomplishment.

Watching a book come to life in my hands, seeing one character after another laugh, rage, and curse beneath my fingers on the keyboard—that felt fulfilling and joyful.

I've always believed that a protagonist's personality is really a reflection of the author's own, and a reflection of the deepest part of them.
