The demonic dragon laughed wildly, spewing black flames from its mouth.
Mo Yu guided her Qi with her sword, forming a blue-green shield of light. But the black flames could corrode spiritual energy, and the shield dimmed in an instant. In the brief exchange, a wisp of black flame grazed Mo Yu's left arm, tearing open her flesh until white bone showed.
Mu Rongyu shrieked at the sight and dragged Mo Yu backward!
They put some distance between themselves and the demonic dragon...
On the other side, Wang Xian had been driven to the brink by Chen Huairu and Baili Shuangmo.
"Listen to me!"
Dodging their attacks, Wang Xian shouted anxiously, "That thing has devoured who knows how many cultivators. It's no ordinary monster anymore! Kill it first!"
"You think we'll believe you again?"
Chen Huairu's sword fell like a rainstorm. She cried coldly, "At Crescent Moon Spring, Hundred Flowers Valley already paid in blood!"
Baili Shuangmo suddenly changed her sword technique. A streak of Sword Qi silently shot toward Wang Xian's back.
Wang Xian was startled and spun around, but the Sword Qi still grazed his right shoulder. Blood instantly stained his robe red.
"Fine! If you want me dead..."
A hint of madness flashed in Wang Xian's eyes. He threw back his head and roared, "Then we'll all die together!"
For some reason, Wuyue fell silent, leaving Wang Xian to decide what to do.
Or perhaps she had already seen through the situation: Wang Xian had no chance against the four women. At worst, she could flee with him again at the last moment?
Just then, Wang Xian abruptly changed direction.
Instead of dodging around the demonic dragon's perimeter, he charged straight toward the heart of the battlefield, where the dragon faced Mo Yu and Mu Rongyu.
