How could he not understand Xuanyuan Que's intentions? He was trying to buy him off. But just as Xuanyuan Que had said, there truly wasn't a second person in Sunset City who possessed such a jade pendant.
And Tang Feng was clearly someone who enjoyed joining in the excitement.
After thinking it over, at most he would owe this guy a favor. Maybe someday, he could repay it in passing.
With that thought, he could not help rubbing his stomach and smiling. "I'm going to have a bowl of lamb noodles. Want to come with me?" As he spoke, he subconsciously glanced toward the lamb noodle shop where Wang Xian was.
"No."
Xuanyuan Que instinctively turned to look at the carriage slowly approaching from not far away. His expression remained calm as he said, "I have something to take care of first. See you at the auction later."
"Fine."
Tang Feng had originally wanted to say something else, but he inadvertently spotted Wang Xian inside the lamb noodle shop.
To his surprise, Wang Xian was looking at him as well, and he froze for a moment.
He glanced at Xuanyuan Que, waved at him, then slowly headed toward the lamb noodle shop.
Wang Xian was startled.
He had not expected to see Xuanyuan Que here, much less for Tang Feng to leave that man behind and walk straight toward him.
His thoughts raced. Other than the Du Residence, he did not seem to have any treasures worth selling.
"What are you doing here?"
Wang Xian lowered his head. He seemed to be talking to himself, his tone utterly ordinary, as though he were merely speaking to a piece of lamb.
Tang Feng merely smiled faintly upon hearing that.
As he strode forward, he replied with a grin,
