Background
Xiao Wuji originated from the Immortal Realm rather than any mortal dynasty or Kunlun Ruins bloodline. His exceptional talent drew the suppression of the Eastern Emperor Hall; while cornered, he tore open a spatial rift and escaped to the mortal world's Kunlun Ruins in a heavily wounded state. There, he met Ye Qingmei, and the two became lovers. 394
Ye Qingmei gave birth to twins: Xiao Yang and a daughter. With enemies surrounding the Supreme Dao Field and the Eastern Profound Great Emperor pursuing their family, Xiao Wuji left Xiao Yang with Ye Qingmei and sent his infant daughter away for her protection. 779
Around twenty years before Xiao Yang followed his trail, Xiao Wuji crossed the starry road toward the Divine Ruins alone. His overwhelming strength earned him the feared title of Madman Xiao Wuji; according to the One-eyed Dragon, he fought from one end of the ancient road to the other, treating star beasts and space-time traps as insignificant obstacles. 673
While exploring Buzhou Mountain for an opportunity to break through to the Great Emperor realm, Xiao Wuji triggered the God Binding Locks and became imprisoned by nine rune-covered chains. The curse covering him with dark-red hair steadily weakened and corrupted him. 691 696
Appearance
Xiao Wuji is first depicted as a handsome, white-robed swordsman standing unbowed amid world-destroying lightning. After years in Buzhou Mountain, his body becomes emaciated and is covered in ominous dark-red hair; following his resurrection, he returns to the imposing appearance of the Divine King. 394 691 745
- Usually wears snow-white robes and carries himself with detached confidence. 771
- Possesses a sword-like upright bearing and an aura of supreme Sword Intent. 394 769
- His hair turns silver-white when he reveals his restored Divine King power. 745
- While imprisoned, he is bound through his clavicles, spine, and limbs by nine God Binding Locks. 691
Personality
Xiao Wuji is proud, fearless, and intensely contemptuous of those who exploit weakness. Even when his Origin is damaged and powerful enemies covet it, he retains the bearing and killing intent of a Quasi-Emperor. 696
His ruthlessness toward old enemies contrasts sharply with his devotion to family. He burns his Origin to protect Xiao Yang, entrusts him with the Supreme Dao Field's rallying horn, and later prioritizes Xiao Yang's tribulation over pursuing the Eastern Emperor Great Emperor. 699 700 749
Though known as a “madman,” Xiao Wuji is also a calculating strategist. At Spirit Mountain, he deliberately uses Emperor Tathagata's formation of gathered faith to locate the concealed sword hilt rather than attempting to break the formation by force. 768
Abilities & Skills

Origin Burning
When Xiao Yang is about to be killed in Buzhou Mountain, Xiao Wuji reignites his remaining Quasi-Emperor Origin despite the cost to his deteriorating body. 698 699
- Sends the Sky Swallowing Sparrow Saint King flying with a single outburst of Quasi-Emperor pressure. 699
- Severely wounds both the Sky Swallowing Sparrow Saint King and the Golden Crow Saint King. 699
- Causes his body to disintegrate as the Origin-burning power expires. 700
Tribulation Refinement
After his revival, Xiao Wuji treats world-ending tribulations as weapons and cultivation resources rather than unavoidable disasters. 745 749
