d'Eon knew full well that Marie Antoinette, gracefully riding atop the Crystal Steed and born to be an idol, was a woman with such a pure heart.
"But I can't help it. I can't be as broad-minded as you. Even if you have let it go, I can't put aside my hatred."

Marie smiled.
She had loved this nation dearly, yet had been executed by the country and its people. Dying branded as the "Cake Queen" and the "Wine Queen" seemed rather laughable. Even so, Marie had gained the admiration of many people, including d'Eon—and for Marie, that was enough.

Marie's utterly charming words—at least, that was how the three Marie fanatics saw them—struck straight at d'Eon's heart. Two rosy clouds crossed the girl's pale cheeks. As if shocked by love, even the sharp rapier in her hand slowed.
How could she truly raise her sword against Marie? How could she possibly do that!?
"Let me fight by your side, Lady Marie."
With a thrust of the Holy Flag (Spear), Jeanne d'Arc shattered the black sea monster blocking her path. Then, transforming her spear into a flag, she stood beside Marie.
"It's very reassuring to fight alongside the famed Saint!"
Marie praised her from the bottom of her heart. A spear when facing enemies, a flag when protecting companions—Jeanne d'Arc was the finest ally, capable of inspiring others while also making them feel safe fighting at her side.
