Rasa hadn't expected Jiraiya to dispel his attack so easily. He'd planned to trap Jiraiya with Sand Binding Burial, then injure him with Sandstorm Funeral and take advantage of his injury to deal with Yamanaka Tohru.
But Jiraiya, now in Sage Mode, wasn't so easy to take down. In the original story, despite facing the bizarre and powerful Rinnegan with no information to go on, Jiraiya had still managed to defeat three of Pain's bodies. Rasa was certainly strong, but he was nowhere near Pain's level.
Jiraiya in Sage Mode instantly turned the tide, leaving Fourth Kazekage Rasa on the defensive.
Meanwhile, Chiyo and Hatake Sakumo were about to reach a conclusion of their own. Chiyo had even brought out the Chikamatsu Ten Puppets, but still couldn't defeat Hatake Sakumo.
Hatake Sakumo was fighting just as he had at the beginning: dodging Chiyo's puppets as he searched for opportunities to sever the Chakra Threads controlling them.
Under Hatake Sakumo's measured attacks, Chiyo's Chakra was gradually running low. If he simply kept up this pace, victory was only a matter of time.
Seeing Chiyo struggling to hold on, Fourth Kazekage Rasa glanced at Jiraiya and then at Gamahiro in the distance, and sighed.
Yamanaka Tohru wasn't faring well either. He and Gamahiro were surrounded by four Sand Shinobi Elite Jonin.
Elite Jonin were on a completely different level from the Jonin Tohru had just killed by catching him off guard. Even fighting at full strength, Tohru couldn't match all four of them at once. But he still had Gamahiro to help.
"Gamahiro, we're in trouble this time! Do you have a plan?" Tohru asked.
"I'll use Water Release, and you use Lightning Release to paralyze them first. Then use Ice Release Teleportation to take out the one in the upper left!
