He found a naturally formed tree hollow, cleared away the rotten leaves and debris at the bottom, then crawled inside to settle in for the night.
The giant tree was over twenty meters in diameter and, if it had stood upright, would have been seven stories tall. Its hollow was five meters wide and four meters deep. A tree like this would have made the Guinness World Records back on Earth, but here they were everywhere.
"Good Giant, it's dangerous here," Shell Girl whispered.
I know that too.
"Don't worry, your Good Giant is here!" Chen Shouyi reassured her.
He took a blanket and pillow out of his storage space and started making the bed. He planned to get a good night's rest and recharge for tomorrow.
"Mm!" Shell Girl replied. She hopped down from Chen Shouyi and crouched curiously at the entrance to the hollow, warily scanning the area with her eyes. Suddenly, she noticed another pair of wary eyes in the grass, staring fixedly at her.
Feeling Chen Shouyi behind her, Shell Girl was utterly unafraid.
The two stared at each other for a long time.
A dozen seconds later, the grass rustled.
A little girl about the same size as Shell Girl emerged. Her body flickered between light and dark, and she was half-transparent. Her pair of sparkling, beautiful eyes warily and curiously sized up Shell Girl.
The two began a staring contest.
Shell Girl gaped in astonishment, looking utterly disbelieving. This was the first time she had ever seen someone her own size.
"Who are you?" Shell Girl called out.
"And who are you? I've never seen you before," the little girl said.
"My name is Little Dot," Shell Girl said.
"I don't have a name. What are you wearing?" The little girl looked at Shell
