There was no bathtub in the bathroom, so Chen Shouyi could only run some warm water into the sink.
He took off Shell Girl's clothes, then tossed them into the trash can.
"My clothes!" Shell Girl cried in anguish, her face full of heartbreak.
"I'll buy you new ones next time," Chen Shouyi said.
"Then I want ones as pretty as these!" Shell Girl demanded.
"All right, all right!"
Seeing that Chen Shouyi had agreed, she didn't wait for him to urge her. She walked to the edge of the sink and sat down, then slid down the porcelain wall like she was going down a slide, splashing water everywhere.
She plunged underwater for more than ten seconds, then surfaced and spat a mouthful of water at Chen Shouyi. She wandered around in the sink, splashing and fooling around, and even did a dog paddle now and then.

Looking at her small yet curvaceous figure, Chen Shouyi felt nothing at all.
What was the point of having a figure like that?
"I want fragrant bubbles!" she cried a little while later.
He had no choice but to fetch another packet of body wash. He tore it open and poured it into the sink. "Stop playing and wash up!"
Ten-odd minutes later, Chen Shouyi dried Shell Girl off and helped her put on fresh clothes.
Then he turned on a cartoon and left her to it.
Meanwhile, he miserably set about scrubbing his briefcase clean.
He felt as if he were raising a daughter.
