These Astartes Acolytes averaged over two and a half meters tall. Clad in composite ceramite armour weighing several tons, each resembled a small, mobile military fortress.
The deep blue paint on their armour and the U-shaped emblems on their chests proclaimed their identity—the Ultramarines!
They stood like an insurmountable wall between Alvin and the surging tide of Chaos.

Perhaps some vestige of animal instinct remained. The Mutants, utterly corrupted by Chaos energy and supposedly incapable of reason or thought, seemed to scent the danger of death and stopped in their tracks.
