The next day, Alvin woke up from his soft bed to find Tony Stark sitting beside him.
"Oh my god, what did you do last night?" Alvin asked, shocked at Tony's haggard appearance, stubble, and sunken eyes, looking as if he'd been completely drained. "As expected of the most famous playboy of this century. Judging by your appearance, was it a ten-person free-for-all?"
Given Tony Stark's temperament, he would normally have a few sharp retorts.
But Tony now looked like he'd been drained by a fox spirit, his face pale, his entire being shrouded in a dispirited aura. He looked up at Alvin and said weakly, "One piece of good news, one piece of bad news. Which do you want to hear first?"
"J.A.R.V.I.S., please get me an iced Americano, thank you."
Alvin stretched, got out of bed, and said to Tony beside him, "If you don't mind, we can chat while we eat."
"This is my house!"
Seeing Alvin act so familiar, Tony couldn't help but get angry.
"Oh, I almost forgot." Alvin turned and called out to the room, "J.A.R.V.I.S., Mr. Stark would like an iced Americano. He looks like he needs a pick-me-up."
"You damn parasite, I'll kick you out sooner or later!"
Tony cursed angrily, but his body was honest, and he followed Alvin to the living room.
"Let's hear the bad news first, then all that's left will be good news."
Alvin took a sip of his iced Americano, feeling much more refreshed. "Looking at you, you didn't spend all night in the lab, did you?"
"What do you think? You kept me up all night!" Tony's expression was full of resentment, like a jilted little wife.
"Mr. Stark, please watch your language." Alvin coughed lightly and corrected him, "I'm not interested in men, no matter how handsome they are."
"..."
Tony suddenly realized that for the first time in his life, he was speechless because someone had bested him.
"OK, then let's hear the good news first." Veins bulged on his forehead as he threw a gun onto the table. "The principle of this gun isn't difficult; the challenge lies in the immense recoil. Even I can't reduce its recoil while maintaining its power. However, manufacturing the bullets is simple."
"Didn't I say to hear the bad news first?" Alvin was a bit speechless. How old was he to still hold such grudges?
"I'll do what I want. I'll say what I want, when I want. Do you have a problem with that?"
Tony glared at him, feeling a surge of satisfaction. He continued, "As for the Deflection Field Defence Device and the Spiral Sub-Atomic Plasma Gun, I can't decipher the principles yet. Their construction is extremely precise, and I can't reverse-engineer them by taking them apart."
"It's alright, I understand."
Alvin wasn't surprised. It was normal that the technology contained in those two items couldn't be deciphered in a short time.
"Let me finish!"
Tony interrupted, continuing, "Although the technology is highly advanced, the method is extremely crude. Give me another half a month, and I'll definitely be able to create a more perfect substitute!"
"If I can integrate these two technologies into my Mark Armor..." He clenched his fists excitedly, his eyes filled with fervor. "Perhaps, an unprecedentedly powerful armor will be born. Yes, this is what I want! It's simply a stroke of genius!"
"Mm, I believe you."
Alvin agreed wholeheartedly.
"???"
Tony, accustomed to Alvin's mockery, was momentarily taken aback. "Huh? That's not like you. Aren't you supposed to mock me? You believe I can actually build it just like that?"
"Of course, you're Tony Stark~"
Alvin said meaningfully.
Tony Stark was Marvel's designated genius of black technology.
As long as he was given enough time, let alone a mere Deflection Field Defence Device and plasma gun, Alvin wouldn't be surprised if he could even cobble together a Titan.
In the movie universe, didn't Tony replicate the Infinity Gauntlet, a divine artifact painstakingly crafted by the dwarves, in minutes?
If it were the comic universe, Tony had even created the Anti-Phoenix Armor, Anti-Thor Armor, and Anti-Galactus Armor. His capabilities were outrageously limitless!
"I need to focus all my energy on researching the Mark Armor during this period."
Tony was clearly a little unaccustomed to Alvin's sudden praise. He snorted, "Go out and wander around when you have nothing to do. Don't stay here and bother me!"
"Oh, right, there's something I need to remind you about."
Looking at the clearly somewhat tsundere Tony, Alvin couldn't help but chuckle and called out to Tony, who was about to make a hasty exit.
Halfway there, Tony almost stumbled and angrily said, "What else? Can't you just say everything at once?"
"During this period, no matter when, remember to wear the Deflection Field Defence Device." Alvin drank some iced Americano, a hint of an unidentifiable meaning mixed in his smile.
Tony's expression froze instantly, his pupils contracting slightly. He said dryly, "What do you mean by that?"
Alvin leaned back in his chair, a knowing smile on his face. "You haven't forgotten about almost being killed in Afghanistan last time, have you?"
"Of course, I haven't forgotten!" Veins seemed to bulge on Tony's forehead, his pupils trembling inexplicably. "But what I'm asking you is, what do you mean by telling me to wear the Deflection Field Defence Device?"
"I just have a feeling that this matter isn't that simple."
Alvin shrugged innocently. "After all, your weapons test with the Pentagon should have been classified. How could Middle Eastern terrorists have found out, and even used 'Jericho' missiles to attack? Doesn't that strike you as strange?"
Tony's eyelids drooped. After a long silence, he responded in a hoarse voice, "I know what to do about this. You don't need to worry about it."
"I'm just concerned about our transaction, Mr. Stark." Alvin smiled and pointed at the Bolter on the table. "After all, I'm still waiting for your research results."
With a heavy heart, Tony ultimately couldn't say anything more and silently turned and left.
"Mr. Valshus, I thank you on behalf of Mr. Stark for your concern," J.A.R.V.I.S. said slowly, expressing its gratitude.
"You don't need to thank me, J.A.R.V.I.S."
Alvin put down his iced Americano and smiled slightly. "I'm a businessman with pure intentions. I give to gain greater returns."
Isn't it normal for merchants to seek profit?
Since he was willing to hand over the life-saving artifact, the "Deflection Field Defence Device," to Tony, he must have been seeking greater returns!
What was Tony Stark's most valuable asset?
It was, of course, his genius mind. If he could establish a friendship, Alvin would then have a way to continuously replicate weapons!
When the technology of the Warhammer Universe collided with the genius mind of the Marvel Universe, what kind of intense sparks would ignite?
Alvin was looking forward to the surprise that the Iron Man armor, combined with Warhammer technology, would bring to both worlds when it was born!
