Gather supplies and erase all traces.

Then Alvin donned a gray robe and left the safe house with Anna and Terrax, heading straight outside.

"Will this really work?" Anna asked nervously, hunching her shoulders inside her gray robe and trying to hide her face as much as possible beneath her hood.

She was genuinely scared.

They were searching everywhere for Alvin, yet he was heading outside in plain sight, wearing nothing but a robe. How could she not be afraid?

If they got caught, she'd be done for!

"Why do you think they'd definitely seal off the area around the Old Town Factory?" Alvin asked, ignoring her as he walked on.

"Isn't that standard procedure?" Anna blinked, baffled. "Seal off the area, then send people to search it and make sure we can't escape."

"You're right, but you're overlooking one thing." Alvin stopped and turned to look at Anna. "That only applies if they've confirmed we're hiding here. Otherwise, they won't seal it off."

"Why not?"

Anna was confused.

"The reason is simple: they can't." Alvin glanced at the trembling Anna and said calmly, "How big is Commorragh? How many places can we hide? The Old Town Factory is as large as a major Hive City, and there are four other hiding places like it. Forget just a few Kabals—even if they committed all their forces, they still couldn't seal off every one of these places."

"Besides," Alvin said meaningfully, "I don't believe Viktor, the Supreme Governor who's ruled Commorragh for thousands of years, would let them strip him of his power without putting up any resistance. If I'm right, most of their forces are still tied up fighting the Supreme Governor. They can't spare much to deal with us."

Did they really think staging a coup was that easy?
