In the Trisolaran World, the extraordinarily long two-hundred-year journey had finally come to an end.
Besides bringing the world under his control as a new Anchor World, Alvin had also unlocked several surprises.
These included the Trisolaran Civilization's technological system: research into the Strong Interaction Force, microscopic etching technology, quantum-entanglement communication over vast distances, techniques for unfolding microscopic particles into higher-dimensional space, gene cloning, and more.
The Adeptus Mechanicus on Mars had collected these technologies and begun reverse-engineering them. They would soon be ready for practical use.
One particular research project had caught Alvin's attention.
It was titled "On the Use of Brainwave and Psychic Power Resonance Amplification in Trisolarans." According to the biological Grand Sage, if the project succeeded, they might one day find a suitable substitute for the navigational Star Whisperers and Psykers—consumables, in other words.
During Warp travel, navigational Star Whisperers often faced enormous risks. If one became corrupted, the entire fleet could lose its way.
And whenever many Space Marines or Astra Militarum troops went on special missions, they also needed Psykers along as consumables to resist Warp corruption. Meanwhile, the Star Whisperer Court had to burn through huge numbers of Psykers every day as kindling to feed the Emperor.
But if this research could be completed, it would solve all three problems at once.
The Star Whisperer Court might even stop having to wait anxiously for Tithes sent from the various planets and Hive Cities.
That would be the Trisolaran Civilization's final contribution to the Imperium of Man—a selfless sacrifice, serving humanity to the very end.
Whether they themselves were willing had never been a concern of humanity's.
"Finally, I can go back..."
Alvin drew a deep breath and stored all the organized research materials in his personal storage space.
