"Jujutsu High Exchange Event?"
Itadori Yuji scratched his head. "What's that?"
Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki both covered their faces.
Maki explained, "Simply put, it's a friendly competition between the two Jujutsu High schools."
"I see. Sounds exciting!"
"Don't worry. Tokyo Jujutsu High has always won more than it's lost."
"Then which Jujutsu High won the last exchange event?"
At that, Maki, Panda, and Inumaki silently sighed.
"At the last exchange event, Yuta Okkotsu competed alone and utterly crushed everyone."
Itadori Yuji suddenly understood. "Oh! That special-grade sorcerer! But wasn't that way too unfair?"
Fushiguro nodded. "That's why they made a new rule: special grades can't participate in the exchange event, even if they're students."
After saying that, Fushiguro shrugged. "Honestly, I'm kind of jealous of Nanako, Mimiko, and Riku. Teacher Geto went to Hokkaido to suppress a cursed spirit riot, and he took them along."
"Compared to an interschool event, I prefer this kind of practical training!"
"Best friend!!!"
As they chatted, Aoi Todo's booming voice rang out.
Itadori turned around in delight. "Todo!"
The two quickly approached each other, stretched out their right hands in an arm-wrestling pose, and clasped them tightly.
"Brother! Long time no see!"
"Indeed, best friend! How was that Jennifer Lawrence photo book I gave you last time?"
"Exquisite! As expected, only your taste suits mine!"
Watching the two radiate bromance, everyone rolled their eyes.
"Maki!"
The familiar voice made Maki raise her gaze. Mai Zenin slowly appeared, staring fixedly at her with a face full of mockery.
"Mai."
Maki looked at her younger sister without the slightest ripple in her expression.
Mai snorted coldly. "A mere grade-four sorcerer. Even if you used your teacher's connections to become a squad captain and pad your resume, trash is still trash!"
Maki's proof of grade-one sorcerer status
