The heavy night obscured the eastern city wall from view. The soldiers stationed far apart had not realized that the northern wall was still collapsing amid the wind and sand.
Only Damon, who had received the message, turned grim and immediately sent word to Kandelian in the distance. "The northern wall has collapsed."
"What happened?"
The sudden accident disrupted all of Kandelian's thoughts, even forcibly choking off the spell he had been chanting in his throat.
