Tang Qi felt the world before his eyes warp.
Everything seemed to be sucked into a vortex, twisted into a single point of light that filled his pupils.
When the spot of light vanished from his vision, his stomach cramped, making him want to vomit up bile.
Cold, damp white mist seeped into his nostrils. The chill rushed straight to his brain, clearing his daze as if he had smelled mint.
His surroundings had suddenly darkened, but the towering firs, dusky purple fern fronds, and scattered Dawn-Dusk Flowers glowing beneath the roots all looked awfully familiar...
"Were we teleported into the Twilight Forest?"
Tang Qi hurriedly looked around. Once he realized Stella was still beside him, he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Good thing we ended up somewhere familiar."
"This was the only place we could teleport to."
Stella pointed at the teleportation circle beneath Tang Qi's feet, its glow faintly visible.
"This is a permanent teleportation circle. Creating one requires spending a Fifth-Ring Spell slot to trace it every day for a year."
"It was you—you brought us here!"
Shivana suddenly roared, as though something had set her off.
Her entire body had been burned a charred brown, but a Half-Orc's naturally formidable constitution allowed her to immediately raise her Great Axe and try to bring it down on Stella's head.
Houke's twin axes were still in Tang Qi's hands, but that did not stop him from charging over like a mindless bull.
"[Sleep Spell]."
A wand flashed into existence in Stella's hand, and she plucked a Dawn-Dusk Flower petal out of thin air.
As it drifted, the petal crumbled into powder and showered over the two Beastfolk's heads. Their eyes rolled back, and they collapsed into an uncontrollable sleep.
A very peaceful one.
She turned to Tang Qi.
