Forcing the Issue
"Doctor Chen! Doctor Chen! Someone, get over here!"
Seeing what had happened, Lancelot, patriarch of the Samos Family, hurriedly helped Chen Sheng up.
The doctors and nurses on duty outside rushed over. Together with the Samos Family's bodyguards, they all pitched in to carry Doctor Chen to an empty hospital room.
When Chen Sheng regained consciousness, he found himself lying on a bed again. He muttered in confusion, "What happened? What happened?"
For a while, he still seemed unable to come around.
"Doctor Chen? Are you feeling all right?"
A flashlight was shone into Chen Sheng's pupils. Then they hooked him up to monitors for his vital signs and brain waves, outfitting him with a flurry of equipment. More than a few electrode pads were stuck to his body, and the room was filled with incessant beeping. At least five or six monitors lit up as a crowd of doctors gathered around him as if facing a grave emergency.
Fortunately, this was the Intensive Care Unit, which had the Samos Family's support. It was equipped with the best and most complete medical equipment, and could handle any emergency.
"He's fine. Everything's normal!"
Once they confirmed that his vital signs were merely weak and there was nothing seriously wrong, the medical staff all breathed a sigh of relief. At least he was out of danger.
"What happened to me just now?"
Chen Sheng's mind had cleared a little more.
"Doctor Chen, you suddenly slipped off your chair onto the floor, and then you became disoriented."
As the person who had witnessed it, Patriarch Lancelot had seen everything clearly from beginning to end.
"Really?"
Chen Sheng began to feel uneasy. Did he have some other hidden ailment on top of his mental illness?
A few minutes later, Chen Sheng's
