Military Training
The actual situation was somewhat better than Instructor Jin Hong had imagined. At least it was not as bad as he had expected.
It was still chaotic—dragging their feet, arriving in twos and threes, raising hell, running around like headless chickens, shouting and hollering, and making a complete mess...
But within ten minutes, they had successfully formed four rows in front of him, arranged from tallest to shortest.
There were both men and women. The youngest was only twenty-three or twenty-four, while the oldest was nearly fifty. They were still a disorderly rabble, and barring any accidents, there was basically not a single person among them who could fight.
In a sense, they had Li Bai to thank for taking the lead.
His roar on the field had unconsciously reminded and urged everyone on. After a frantic scramble, they had finally rushed over to assemble in "proper" attire.
The word "proper" needed to be put in quotation marks.
Not everyone could wear their training uniforms as standard and presentably as Li Bai.
Some wore baseball caps, some had not worn hats at all, and some were still wearing leather shoes, sneakers, or even high heels. They had run all the way to the field without even twisting an ankle.
Some had mistaken their belts for Webbing Belts, fastening them directly around the waist of their shirts. Others had let their imaginations run wild and played around with mismatched outfits: one half of their upper and lower bodies in training clothes, the other half in different garments. Some were even wearing warm cotton clothes meant for staying at home, making themselves look utterly ridiculous.
Reporter Ximen had not forgotten to bring his livelihood with him. He silently raised his DSLR camera and snapped more than a dozen pictures.
