Yamamoto Takeo stared blankly at Li Bai, then felt around his body. Those mercenaries had already cleaned him out completely, so he could only put on a mournful face and ask, "Could you lend me some money?"
Without money, one could not take a single step. Even if he did not hire anyone for protection, he still had to pay for a ride, right?
He was unfamiliar with the place, and there were no "fools" here willing to help others. Instead, everyone was more realistic than the last. It would not be strange to be robbed halfway there if he was careless.
Even if things were a little more peaceful, the Somali government would not have asked the United Nations for peacekeeping forces to help deter petty criminals.
The peacekeeping force was not so easy to invite, after all. It was a foreign armed force, and one careless move could easily turn things upside down.
"All right! You owe me another thousand dollars!"

He was not worried that Yamamoto Takeo would refuse to pay and run off. Since the man had been exiled to Africa, he probably would not be able to return for some time.
As long as he remained in Africa, he could not escape. Bringing him to justice would be a simple matter. Once there was a first time, there would be a second.
With Hatano Ryu's example before him, the other man probably did not dare to commit such an outrageous act of self-destruction. Once he lost the protection of his official identity, whether he lived or died would no longer be up to him.
"The thousand dollars, plus the reward money. I'll give it to you."
