A wisp of spiritual energy, finer than a strand of hair, entered John Samus's brow with a sharp cry from Li Bai and a tap of his finger.
He still had to go to Kenya to deal with an unknown trouble. He didn't have time to wait around here for the other man to recover over ten days or half a month, so he might as well use a cheat!

Then, without warning, his whole body jolted. His head felt as though it had exploded, and he stood dazed for an instant. It seemed like a day, a month, or even an entire year—he completely lost track of time.
Yet this strange sensation, impossible to describe in words, came as swiftly as a tide and receded just as quickly.
When John Samus regained consciousness, Li Bai was already gone. He blinked and looked around in confusion, seeing only Doctor Budani sitting calmly beside the hospital bed and watching him with concern.
