Lu Sanhu and Zabu looked rather pale, and they nearly threw up their late-night meal.
Even at Landon Hawkwell Manor, the casualties among the indigenous tribes that had attacked en masse had been outside the manor grounds. Most had died from snake venom. Though their faces had been frozen in terrifying expressions, it was still nowhere near as horrifying as the corpses before them, each riddled with several bloody, mangled holes.
