Robbery
I just wanted to get through customs. You actually wanted to sleep with me?
There was no way Li Bai would let something like that happen to him.
"Hey, hey! Where are you going? Metered fare or carpool? I can give you a receipt. Cash, WeChat, Alipay..."
As soon as they left the terminal, a Black man in a leather jacket rushed over, waving as he ran.
Li Bai and the two Demonesses stopped. He tentatively asked, "Taxi?"
There was something familiar about the man's words and tone.
"Of course! I love Chinese people. I love China. Hey, need a ride?"
The Black man came up to the trio, his face wreathed in smiles.
What a bag of tricks!
When he met Chinese people, saying things like that was a sure bet. Maybe he could even scam them out of a tip.
Li Bai gave him an address and asked for the metered fare. Bob readily agreed, then eagerly offered to carry the trio's luggage and led them to his taxi.
They didn't have much luggage, just two shoulder bags and two suitcases. That was all. Everything else was in the Storage Ring and Storage Dragon Scale. There was no need to make special preparations for a trip; they could set off at any time.
The taxi left the airport. After driving for a little over half an hour, it arrived in what looked like a desolate residential neighborhood. Withered weeds grew along the roadside, and the houses were dilapidated. Most of the streetlights were either missing their bulbs or had smashed covers. More than half were blind.
"Bob, did you take a wrong turn?"
Li Bai showed him the screen of his phone. Google Maps showed that they were at least fifteen kilometers from their destination, the hotel.
