Backlash
Guo Qi felt a chill run down his spine under Li Bai's gaze.
Even the North American Grizzly Bear couldn't take him down. Instead, he'd fed it a grenade. Was this young man a demon?
"Get up! You stupid bear!"
Li Bai turned away and kicked the motionless grizzly.
Compared to the brainless idiot from before, this one at least knew how to read the situation. Knowing it couldn't win, it had simply flopped onto the ground and refused to fight back or talk back. That was rare enough.
The bear cracked open one eye, peeking nervously at Li Bai. A tiny whine, like a puppy's, came from its huge, tusked mouth.
"Get up!"
Li Bai kicked the North American Grizzly Bear again and tugged upward on its ear.
He barely used any force, but the grizzly was clever enough to get up with the pull. It tried to ingratiate itself by rubbing its big head against Li Bai, only to be slapped away in disgust. How long had it been since this thing had bathed? Its fur was crawling with fleas and other parasites. It wasn't nearly as sleek and glossy as it looked.
"Roar!~"
The grizzly's low, weak cry made it sound like a bullied little wife.
It was hard to imagine a massive bear like a mound of meat having such a side to it.
As for the other two North American Grizzly Bears, after seeing Li Bai blow apart the largest of their kind and then subdue another, they seemed to witness something terrifying. All their earlier arrogance vanished, and they turned tail in a panic.
"See those five up ahead? Charge them and tear them apart!"
Li Bai patted the bear's head, then pointed at the defectors from the Nine Provinces Xuan Association.
"Roar?"
