One Man Beaten Every Ten Steps
It was a giant!
And its skin was black—pitch-black. If the light had been any dimmer, they would have seen nothing but its outline.
The corridor was over four meters high. Just looking at someone so tall that his head nearly touched the ceiling was enough to make anyone's heart race.
The giant that had suddenly charged into the corridor stomped on the armed personnel who were still sprawled on the ground, unable to get back up, crushing them one after another like frogs beneath its feet. Their exoskeleton armor offered no protection whatsoever. The sharp cracking sounds could be heard from far away, and just listening to them made you wince.
The armed squad had been equipped with exoskeleton armor and powerful firearms. But despite the giant's bulky build, it moved with remarkable agility, and not one of them escaped.
"Hey! Chinese-made stuff really is better!"
After comparing it to the American original, Li Bai immediately abandoned his earlier idea.
Wang Ping and Xue Qimin were practically on the verge of tears. At a time like this, how could their young friend still be thinking about that?
"Damn it! Somebody, get over here!"
Jamie Chen was in a complete panic. He instinctively pulled out his pistol, chambered a round, aimed at the giant, and fired shot after shot.
His aim was excellent. Every bullet struck the black giant as it raised an arm to shield itself, hitting its head, chest, abdomen, and limbs with pinpoint accuracy.
But...
Li Bai saw clearly that the bullets only left brief dents on the Black Giant's skin before its tough skin and muscle tissue bounced them back out. They didn't even break the surface.
Still, the bullets' kinetic energy was unleashed against the giant without being diminished.
