"Are there really gods?"
Li Bai asked back.
He knew one god—a malevolent god who had nearly been tortured to tears by him.
"Uh, I was just using it as an example. Do you remember those Sumerian clay tablets?"
Heracles Enzo Camillo gave him a hint.
For the sake of those pieces of thousand-year-old mud, Li Bai and the "Saint's Association" had nearly come to blows.
The "Saint's Association" was now more or less grateful that they had not thrown such a man out of the organization and turned him into a headache-inducing enemy. Otherwise, they would probably already be so desperate they wanted to die.
"Oh! I remember, I remember!"
Li Bai did not say that if the other man had not brought them up, he would probably have forgotten them completely by now.
He had sent photographs of the clay tablets back home through his connections, hoping that the local archaeologists might make some discoveries.
Unfortunately, most of Huaxia's experts devoted their attention and academic abilities to the five-thousand-year history of their own civilization. Few specialized in the history and culture of foreign countries. Thus, even today, there had been no progress. They had not even deciphered more than a few of the cuneiform characters on the tablets. Even after feeding them into computers and repeatedly running them through specially designed mathematical models, the results were a complete mess. They had even produced some smutty stories too embarrassing to look at.
"They recorded the whereabouts of a prehistoric hero."
Hercules deliberately left the matter hanging, his expression unreadable. He glanced around the room before continuing, "You haven't eaten dinner yet, have you?"
"Of course not! I was just about to cook for myself!"
Li Bai had no intention of letting the fine ingredients in the
