Yamamoto Takeo staggered violently and covered his face, almost unable to believe it.
What the hell? The other guy had hit him again—but why?
The sudden slap left almost everyone stunned. This was an officer from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Public Security Department, a higher rank than an ordinary police officer. Most people would have been desperate to avoid him. H-how dare someone slap him?
The airport police scattered instinctively, all looking as if they were facing a formidable enemy.
Unexpectedly, Yamamoto Takeo didn't get angry. He raised a hand to show that he was fine, then said with some regret, "Why?"

Li Bai smiled and shrugged. It felt so good to get something off his chest.

Li Bai imitated the sound of a string snapping with his mouth.
Yamamoto Takeo shuddered in sympathy. He'd already snapped once; he couldn't do it again. Otherwise, his bold words from earlier would become a joke. Getting slapped in the face right after saying them was simply... unforgivable.

There was nothing he could do about his frustration. One had to endure small things to accomplish great plans.
Yamamoto Takeo could only keep the word "endure" foremost in his mind.

Li Bai nodded, then returned to the security line.
After passing security and customs, some of his colleagues didn't head straight to
