"Let's retreat into the house first and let those things outside come a little closer."

Li Bai simply put down the infrared thermal imaging device. With only his naked eyes, he could already see the sneaky "Monsters and Ghosts" beyond the courtyard wall, and he had a rough idea of what was going on.

"I'll listen to you. If they dare come closer, hmph!"

Old Chen waved his wooden stick, making it whistle through the air. The old man wasn't helpless, either.

Ginger was still spicier when it was old. Shining a flashlight in someone's face and following up with vicious swings of a stick could easily catch ordinary people off guard and leave them completely unable to fight back.

The two carefully avoided the broken bricks, scattered stones, knee-high weeds, and uneven hollows in the ground.

But just after entering the front hall of the first courtyard, Li Bai suddenly stopped.
