970 - The Ultimatum
"It's fine, it's fine! Just make the arrangements, and that'll do."
Lu Li said nothing more. The other party was the local expert, so as long as he made the proper arrangements, that was all that mattered. Letting Lu Li know was already enough.
"Sure, sure!"
After apologizing, Cadre Zhu took out the notebook he used for work and scribbled a few things down, replanning his route. Then he picked up his phone again and notified everyone one by one.
The original route plan involved all sorts of local officials and had been arranged in advance. If the changes weren't communicated in time, they could easily cause a mess.
As the person in charge, Cadre Zhu would have a hard time escaping blame.
Now that a leader from the poverty alleviation office had spoken, he had no choice but to change the Medical Team's itinerary. As for everyone else, he'd have to put up with plenty of complaints and grumbling. The plans had been settled long ago, and going back on them would make things difficult for the people below him. The villagers would have plenty to say, too.
But what else could he do? He could only take the blame for the leader.
The Medical Team had no objections. When in Rome, do as the Romans do; they would follow orders. Wherever Cadre Zhu and Director Lu told them to go, they would go. They had to visit every place sooner or later, so going a day earlier or later made little difference.
The Coaster Public Service Vehicle turned a corner, crossed a concrete bridge, and entered Liannan Village.
Compared with Qishui'ao, a remote, impoverished village surrounded by mountains, conditions in Liannan Village, Dongwang Township, were much better. At the very least, this concrete road
