Quit Gambling
One layer of hypnosis wrapped around another, a little like the movie Inception.
Even if someone was lucky enough to escape one layer, they were still like Sun Wukong in the palm of the Buddha. They thought they had escaped the Prison Cage and could roam free, never realizing they were still inside.
Two consecutive layers of hypnosis were a bit too much for an ordinary mortal like Li Bai.
The effects of hypnosis would gradually fade, but the one before him would probably never lose it, even after ten or eight years. In the end, it would become second nature—a psychological shadow he could never escape for the rest of his life, with no cure.

He checked his body again. He was not missing any arms or legs either.
Nothing was wrong!
They had said he would feel dizzy and nauseated if he touched the cards again. Wasn't that a lie?
He immediately suspected that the doctor before him was actually mentally ill and had simply tricked him.
Sometimes, there was only a sheet of paper's thickness between a doctor and a con artist.
