The first time Shen Tang came to the Demon Realm, she had been a little dazed.
Pei Ye, the Demon Emperor and Panda Righteous Warrior, saw her reaction and immediately understood why. "Does it bring back memories of revisiting an old place?"
The so-called Demon Realm was actually a territory cleaved from the Ancient Continent. Pei Ye had refined it into a world of its own, plucked several stars from the vast cosmos, and arranged them into an environment resembling the Solar System. It now lay curled quietly in a corner of the greater world.
It was remote, difficult for ordinary life to reach.
But it was the perfect place for the fragile younglings of the Demon Race to grow.
Pei Ye led Shen Tang farther in. "The Seventh Prince once told me this continent was the old home of the Fifth Prince. But when I dragged it away and repurposed it to build the Demon Realm, there was no life left here. Some time ago, a few mischievous demon cubs went exploring and found the ancient ruins of a Divine Temple buried deep underground. I figured that must be where your old home used to stand."
Shen Tang said calmly, "It's all in the past."
She had thought this continent—her old family plot—would have been seized or destroyed in that treacherous, ever-shifting age of antiquity. She hadn't expected it to still be here, let alone to have new life bloom across it. The Demon Realm wasn't very large, and a demon could go ten days or half a month without seeing another one.
Only the central region was a little livelier.
