She snuck a glance at Chen Tian, a hint of anticipation in her eyes.
Her kind nature made her feel that those with power ought to help others.
Chen Tian took a sip of coffee and reached out to ruffle her golden hair. "Don't worry about it. Even if I don't step in, there are still other 'heroes' in this world carrying the load."
"Ah! That's right!" Kitagawa's eyes lit up instantly, like a lightbulb flickering to life. She remembered the city she'd once lived in, the emergence of heroes.
She nodded vigorously, the conflict on her face vanishing completely, replaced by a radiant smile. "Mm-hmm! Tian Jun is right!"
Chen Tian smiled, about to pinch her cheek again, when his gaze casually drifted to the window.
Outside, the rain seemed to be falling even harder.
Tokyo time, November 9th, morning.
The sky was exceptionally clear, not a single cloud in sight. The sunlight was blinding.
Ordinary people went about their day as usual—crowding onto trains, rushing to clock in, sending kids to school. The streets were busy and noisy, thick with the atmosphere of everyday life.
No one looked up at the sky.
No one noticed that above that azure canopy, ten enormous, semi-transparent black circular barriers had silently and instantly taken shape, like inverted giant bowls! They were spaced far apart, yet connected by an invisible force, covering the entire Neon Archipelago—except for North Road.
An indescribable pressure suddenly descended!

An indescribable pressure suddenly descended!
Osaka, hotel suite.
Chen Tian's hand, setting down his coffee cup, froze. The blinding sunlight outside the window reflected a trace of icy gravity in his eyes.
"Has the Culling Game begun?" he murmured.
A deafening explosion tore through the city's clamor, followed by shrill screams from the street below!
"Ah!" Kitagawa shrieked in fright, her small face instantly turning pale. The fork in her hand clattered against the plate.
"Let's go!" Without a moment's hesitation, Chen Tian scooped her up, cradling her in his arms.
The next second, their figures vanished from the suite!
The view shifted instantly!
A biting wind tousled their hair as they suddenly appeared on the roof of Osaka's Tenshukaku!
Kitagawa squeezed her eyes shut, afraid to look down.
"T-Tian Jun?" Her voice trembled.
Chen Tian held her steady, looking down.
Below, thick black smoke rose from multiple spots across Osaka, explosions flaring one after another! Chaotic screams and the faint ripples of cursed energy clashes drifted up.
The Culling Game had already begun its bloody opening on this land.
"How could this..." Kitagawa gripped Chen Tian's arm, her knuckles white.
"It's not safe here." Chen Tian's brow furrowed. "I'll take you somewhere safe."
As he spoke, his right hand clenched, and the Enma Sword materialized in his palm!
The blade slid from its sheath with a crisp ring!
Without hesitation, Chen Tian swung a horizontal slash at the air before him!
Space split like canvas, a rift edged with flickering Blue Arc appearing out of nowhere. On the other side of the rift was a completely different streetscape—quiet, peaceful.
"Is that... Sapporo Tower?" Kitagawa recognized the landmark on the other side.
"North Road is the only safe haven." Chen Tian explained briefly, took her hand, and stepped without hesitation into the rift!
The space rift sealed instantly.
The clamor and smoke of Osaka were completely shut out.
Chapter 12: Join the Game? No, I'm Here to Tear Your Game Apart.
Tokyo time, November 15th.
North Road, Sapporo.
Sunlight streamed through the window, traffic flowed on the streets, and pedestrians strolled leisurely. The TV played trivial entertainment news and idol commercials—a scene of peace and prosperity.
The Culling Game? The barriers? The smoke of Tokyo? It all felt like it happened on another planet.
But inside the observation apartment Chen Tian had specially purchased, the atmosphere was heavy.
Kitagawa hugged the white cat plushie, curled up on the wide sofa, her small face scrunched in worry. The cheerful, lighthearted songs from the TV only made her look more burdened.
"Tian Jun..." Her voice was muffled. "Is it... really okay out there? That day in Osaka..."
"It's fine." Chen Tian leaned beside her, his tone flat. "The battlefield's been limited to outside North Road. There are 'heroes' in there now too, and besides, this incident is mainly targeting those 'heroes.'"
She understood the logic.
But the black smoke that rose over Osaka Castle that day, the faint explosions and screams—they were like a thorn stuck in her heart.
She knew Chen Tian was strong, strong enough to casually slice through space.
But she also knew how brutal things were inside the barrier (Chen Tian had briefly mentioned the 'game rules').
She wanted her boyfriend, someone so powerful, to go help the people suffering inside—that was her kind instinct. Yet she was also terrified, afraid that Chen Tian would get hurt in there, or even... not come back.
This contradiction had left her listless for days.
Chen Tian had tried everything—taking her out for good food, drives, even... using intimate moments to distract her—but the effect was minimal. The smile in her eyes was always shadowed by a layer of worry.
Chen Tian turned his head, looking at his little girlfriend's troubled expression, and let out a soft sigh.
A whole week, and this little sun still hadn't brightened up.
He, this lazy fish who just wanted to lie flat, felt that if he didn't do something soon, his happy life would be drowned by his girlfriend's gloom.
He lazily propped himself up and reached out to ruffle Kitagawa's blonde hair.
"Don't worry." His tone carried a hint of helplessness, mixed with resignation. "I'll go take a look at Tokyo."
Kitagawa's head shot up, her eyes instantly widening, brightening for a moment before being covered by deeper worry: "Really? But... it's dangerous in there..."
"Just a 'look,'" Chen Tian emphasized, a lazy but confident curve tugging at his lips. "Relax. The person who can hurt me probably hasn't been born yet. Wait for me at home."
With that, before Kitagawa could say anything else, he casually raised his right hand. The Enma Sword appeared in his grip again. He drew the blade and lightly slashed at the empty space in the living room.
A spatial rift crackling with blue arcs instantly opened. On the other side of the rift, faint chaotic noise and a glimpse of an unfamiliar cityscape could be heard and seen.
Chen Tian stood up, one hand in his pocket, and stepped into the rift without looking back.
The rift closed instantly, leaving only the stunned Kitagawa and the still-cheerful TV songs in the apartment.
Stepping into the spatial rift, Chen Tian had originally planned to take a stroll around Tokyo, just putting on a show for Kitagawa.
After all, his current thrill came from whether Sukuna's full power would let him go all out.
But his body disobeyed, flying straight toward his old home in Suginami Ward.
That was the house he'd had since coming to this world, carrying the original owner's memories. Though Chen Tian himself had no attachment to those memories, it was still something to hold onto.
When he arrived, the sight before him made his blood boil instantly.
The original house had been reduced to a pile of rubble. Broken bricks and shattered tiles were scattered everywhere, and the air was thick with a pungent, burnt smell.
Chen Tian took a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself down, but he couldn't suppress the rage burning in his heart. "Calm down? Calm down my ass!"
He couldn't help but curse. "I still fucking underestimated that bastard! He never took me seriously at all!"
Chen Tian knew he had warned that guy before—don't come provoke him.
But now, not only had the other party ignored it, they had even destroyed his house.
Chen Tian's gaze turned cold, the fury in his heart fully ignited. "Fine then... This lazy fish is going to fucking flip the table!"
He gritted his teeth, speaking each word deliberately. "Aren't you proud of your Culling Game? Then I'll make you watch as your Culling Game gets torn apart!" The words squeezed out from between his teeth, carrying a ruthlessness he had never shown before.
Chen Tian's figure vanished instantly from the ruins, the residual tremors of the spatial rift still quivering in the air.
?Tombs of the Star Corridor.?
Tsukumo Yuki clasped her hands together, then spread them apart, a low laugh escaping her. "Domain Expansion—Vast Myriad Realms!"
A twisted black tree erupted from the ground, its trunk embedded with the faces of malformed fetuses, its branches made of countless pregnant women's swollen bellies. Three statues at the base held it aloft like offerings.
Within the domain, gravity shifted abruptly, the air turning thick as mud.
"Ah, now then, let's have a good fight." Tsukumo Yuki smiled lightly, beckoning with a finger.
Boom—!!
The Gravity Technique and Cursed Spirit Manipulation erupted simultaneously!
The ground collapsed, and countless curses surged from the shadows.
Tsukumo Yuki crossed her arms to block, but was still sent flying dozens of meters by the impact, smashing through stone pillars. Blood seeped from the corner of her mouth, but she grinned.
"Star Rage: Garuda!"
She slammed one hand against the ground. Garuda flapped its wings, its mass instantly amplified a thousandfold, crashing down like a meteor toward Sukuna.
Sukuna dodged: "Tch. Still moving?" He raised a hand, gravity crushing the space, warping the Garuda's trajectory, grazing the edge of the domain.
Tsukumo Yuki seized the moment to charge in, her fist wrapped in collapsing mass aimed straight at Sukuna's face—
Sukuna sidestepped easily. He knew that as long as he wasn't hit by that fist, he could stand undefeated.
His smile didn't waver: "Too bad. In my domain, technique output... is doubled, you know."
Tsukumo Yuki's pupils contracted sharply. The next second, an invisible weight slammed her into the ground, nearly snapping her spine.
"Kuh...!" She coughed up blood, but her eyes locked onto the ceiling above.
At the apex of the domain, a crack spread silently.
The brittle sound of the fissure splitting rang out like a thunderclap!
Tsukumo Yuki coughed blood, but her eyes lit up.
Jogo's smug smile froze on his face as he abruptly jerked his head back.
In the shadows, Tengen's calm expression flickered with a trace of disturbance, and Choso, lurking nearby, tensed his entire body.
The four of them fixed their gazes on that crack.
—WUUM—!?
Their vision was suddenly flooded with blinding blue-white light!
It wasn't a single beam, but a net woven from tens of thousands of cold, sharp, purely lethal slashes!
They intersected and carved in utter silence.
—BOOOOM—!?
The entire dome of the Tombs of the Star Corridor—the massive stone ceiling that had endured countless years and gathered immense barrier power—instantly disintegrated into the finest gray-white powder!
A gale swept the dust skyward, revealing the clear sky.
The powder cascaded down like a waterfall, then parted to the sides under an invisible force. At the center of the settling haze, a figure hung in midair.
White hair wild, black robes fluttering.
Chen Tian's left hand was tucked into his pocket, his right hand holding the Enma Sword. His eyelids drooped slightly as he looked down at Jogo below.
That handsome face bore no twisted anger—only a soul-freezing indifference, like a god gazing upon an ant.
