Background / History

Chen Tian initially appears as a seemingly ordinary, laid-back young man spending Halloween in Shibuya with Kitagawa Marin. When he alone notices black mud spreading across the sky, he immediately becomes serious and reveals the ability to summon the Enma Sword and cut open portals. 2

During the Shibuya Incident, he intervenes against curse-related threats, ultimately cutting Sukuna’s soul and saving Fushiguro Megumi. His involvement reduces the scale of the disaster compared with the original outcome, though he remains detached from official responsibility and rejects recruitment by the curse-world higher-ups. 8 9 20

Before his supernatural activities became public within his circle, Chen Tian awakened lost memories during his senior year and gained attention as a school-festival singer. He became an idol, began a relationship with Marin, and attracted the affection of Shinomiya Kaguya. 25
