This wasn't the first time Azer had sensed that something was off about Claudia.
He didn't know when it had begun, but the Student Council President of Seidoukan Academy had started to feel different to him.
On the surface, Claudia was still the same as before—mature and proper, composed and gracious, exceptionally elegant and beautiful. Yet Azer always felt that her attitude toward him had changed in some subtle, almost imperceptible way.
Sometimes, he would catch Claudia's gaze resting on him without a trace, but when he looked back, there would be nothing there.
Sometimes, he felt that Claudia wanted to say something to him, only for her to hold it back in the end and act as though nothing had happened.
Then there were times when she seemed to approach him and close the distance between them, only to deliberately pull away at other times. At times she was intimate, at times distant; her attitude changed constantly.
Though she had been deliberately hiding it, Azer was no longer the person he had once been. Given enough time, he could still keenly notice the strange things about Claudia.
Yet before outsiders, and most of the time, Claudia behaved no differently than she had in the past, arousing no one's suspicion.
It was truly baffling.
So Azer decided to be bolder and test the Student Council President.
"Why did you want to invite me, President?"
Azer asked Claudia this question directly.
This invitation had indeed come rather suddenly.
At least, in Azer's view, even if Claudia wanted someone to keep her company, that person should not have been him.
The relationship between him and Claudia wasn't bad, certainly, but neither was it particularly close.
