Light and shadow rippled, shifting without end. Meng Qi felt as if he had stepped into a hazy, dreamlike place, or descended deep into a sea that glowed from within. The surrounding darkness was denser than ordinary space, as though it had solidified into walls.

Brilliant rays reflected across those walls, each illuminating a patch that revealed a different scene. Meng Qi saw the deep sea, the Grasslands, towering mountains, and the vast starry sky. He saw galaxies, nebulae, and rivers of stars; the Golden Crow and Jade Rabbit; a round heaven above a square earth; a desolate apocalypse; an underwater world; Earth and the moon; flying saucers and spacecraft. The scenes were countless and varied, as though doors the size of fingernails had been forged into the walls surrounding them on every side.

The scenes behind the doors shifted constantly, seemingly without end.

Meng Qi was dazzled. He vaguely understood their "origin." His Inner World and his own worldview seemed to explain these scenes quite well: a multiverse, with Time-Space Shards as the myriad worlds and the Nine Heavens above them. Every world could be "shared." Everything he saw now was a projection of the myriad worlds!

Following the brilliant rays back to their source, Meng Qi saw a mirror. It was ancient and weathered, its patterns unique, its surface dark and incapable of reflecting anything.
