The grass was jeweled with dew and shone brilliantly. The wind bent it low, while herds of cattle and sheep gathered in clusters.
Joyful Bodhisattva sat cross-legged on the lotus platform, floating in midair. She watched helplessly as that Orifice Opening master traveling across the Grasslands gradually disappeared into the distance. The high-altitude wind whistled coldly. It could not disperse the light of the lotus platform, but it left a chill on her face.
Was it the wind moving, or her heart?
In her dazed state, Joyful Bodhisattva felt as if all her hopes had been dashed and life had lost all meaning. Was she really going to abandon the Joyful Demonic Path and cultivate the orthodox Buddhist tradition instead, becoming a nun who accompanied a Green Lamp through the passing years every day?
Without a sound or the slightest fluctuation of power, merely one sentence—"The Sea of Suffering is boundless; turning back is the shore"—had branded itself into her heart?
Ten years with a Green Lamp, ten years with the Ancient Buddha, ten years sitting in meditation—had "Mad Saber" Su Meng really pushed the "Entangle Karma" of the Ananda Breaking Precepts Saber Art to such a level? Or was it some sort of Inner Demon technique?
She could not figure it out. She still could not figure it out. Joyful Bodhisattva discovered that she still could not see through Su Meng's realm.
The unknown was the most terrifying thing. It inspired awe in people. Joyful Bodhisattva took a deep breath and calmed her turbulent emotions before muttering with a bitter smile, "Can't I return to the Sü Nü Immortal Realm?"
I'm not coming out to stir up trouble anymore!
Since divine weapons could isolate the "Buddhist Voice," the Sü Nü Immortal Realm could certainly do the same.
