History

Lieyang became entangled in the Deno Civil War as both sides sought its stellar-energy technology. It secretly supported Dexing to contain Nuoxing's expansion, while its king—Lena's father—later attempted to mediate the war openly. A plan to kidnap him led to a deadly clash. Lena's grandfather subsequently destroyed the Deno Civilization and died by suicide; before his own death, her father entrusted the infant Lena and the damaged civilization to Pan Zhen 90 95 97.

About fourteen hundred years later, Pan Zhen led Lieyang forces to Earth and fought Sun Wukong. Lieyang retreated after severe losses. It later pursued influence through investment rather than occupation, supporting the Black Great Wall Project negotiated with Dukao 5 90.

Homeworld

• Lieyang Star — Only a damaged hemisphere remains. Metal supports and energy shields keep its structure from collapsing 242.
• Tiandao Tower — Holds Lieyang's accumulated stellar-drive research and the underlying data for the Sun of Light gene 250.

Technology and Influence

• Stellar Drive Technology — Lieyang's specialty; Si Yao seeks its data to upgrade Golden Feather and Crimson Feather 249.
• Sun of Light — A power bestowed on Lena as an infant. Pan Zhen regards her growth into Lieyang's Main God as central to its future 97 250.
• Black Great Wall support — Earth depends on Lieyang for dark-element extraction and synthesis, equipment resources, and project logistics. Lianfeng estimates that losing this support would extend work expected to take a year to at least ten years 63.
• Void-technology limits — Pan Zhen considers Lieyang's stellar-drive systems unable to understand or defend against void attacks in the short term. Rather than adopt void technology across the civilization, he asks Si Yao to help Lena gain the ability to face it 249 250.

• Lena — Lieyang's Main God and bearer of the Sun of Light. Pan Zhen expects her eventually to decide how the civilization responds to the void 67 250.
• Pan Zhen — Lieyang's Guardian God and principal decision-maker in its dealings with Earth, Karl, and Si Yao 65 140 249.
• Wu Zhao — Pan Zhen's trusted deputy, stationed on Earth to accompany Lena, coordinate Black Great Wall matters, and report on Si Yao 76.
• Xuan Tian Ji — A Lieyang general whose confrontation with Si Yao ends in his death, prompting Pan Zhen to visit Earth 59 62 64.

Relations

• Earth — A former battlefield and later an investment partner. Lieyang backs the Black Great Wall and takes part in negotiations over Earth's future 5 63 240.
• Sun Wukong — Repelled Pan Zhen's earlier campaign on Earth; his strength remains a deterrent in Lieyang's dealings with the planet 5 90.
• Si Yao — After the Xuan Tian Ji incident, Pan Zhen approaches him cautiously. They later agree to exchange access to Lieyang's stellar-drive data for Si Yao's help with Lena's upgrade 65 249 250.
