"Link initiated!"
"Inspection fluid injection beginning!"
"Instruments operating normally, examination commencing!"
Feeling herself gradually enveloped by the pale blue liquid.
Human instinct made Ashe hold her breath without thinking.
But as the entire examination pod filled with fluid.
Ashe gradually adapted to breathing within the liquid.
It was at this moment.
The system's prompt tone sounded in Ashe's ear.
"External device link detected. Device name: 'Denuo Three.'"
"All system information has been concealed. Reasonable information has been numbered and compiled."
"Do you authorize the release of this information?"
"Yes!"
That's right. In truth, Ashe didn't need a genetic examination at all. What transmigrator didn't understand their own golden finger?
But to establish a legitimate identity in this world and explain the source of her power.
Ashe had the system fabricate this disguised information.
Of course, only a portion of her ability data was included.
If Denuo Three's intelligence ever leaked, Ashe didn't want her own secrets falling into enemy hands.
As for the background information, the system had constructed the most reasonable explanation based on the Super Seminary world's logic.
And so, with Ashe's confirmation.
A piece of "authentic" information appeared before Yu Qin and Lian Feng.
"Shenhe Civilization, Phase Four God-Making Project: Blade of the End."
"Development Objectives: Wormhole Ability: Space Specialization (Complete), Thunder Gene (Complete), God-Slaying Power (Complete)."
"Clone Tactics (Complete), Indestructible Body (All projected targets fully achieved)... Exclusive Armory (Basic construction finished, completion rate ninety percent)."
As they continuously read through Ashe's genetic data.
The information marked on the display.
Left the two of them somewhat shaken.
As Denuo survivors privy to many inside secrets, and former chief scientists of Denuo.
They knew quite a lot about their own once-proud Power of the Galaxy God-Making Project.
Yet both had believed their former research and development had reached the universe's cutting edge.
Even surpassing many civilizations of the past.
Otherwise, their God-Making Project wouldn't have been hailed as one of the Three Great God-Making Projects of the Universe.
But now, with Ashe's information laid before them.
The two finally felt that perhaps the Shenhe Civilization's god-making expertise was no less than Denuo's or the Super Seminary's.
"Is this a chief god once created by the Shenhe Civilization?"
Yu Qin asked in confusion, but Lian Feng could only shake her head, indicating she didn't know.
After all, the river of time was far too long, and the Shenhe Civilization had long since fallen.
The answers of the past had become unsolved mysteries for later generations.
"Let's keep reading."
Pushing aside those thoughts, the two continued scrolling down.
But at the same time, the instrument's alert tone rang out.
"Information encrypted. Authorization not granted. Higher-level authorization password required!"
"Information encrypted. Authorization not granted. Higher-level authorization password required!"
Watching the large red characters reading "Access Restricted" flash repeatedly on the instrument screen.
Yu Qin and Lian Feng exchanged a glance.
They understood that, for them, this was as far as they could go.
Inside the instrument, feigning a dormant state, Ashe learned of the system's feedback and asked in confusion.
"What's going on? Access restricted? Didn't you finish fabricating the rest?"
"Please do not question the system's ability to lie—no, linguistic proficiency."
"According to system investigation and analysis, presenting information in this format makes the host appear more exceptional (higher prestige) to outsiders, thereby ensuring the host receives greater attention."
"Please understand the system's good intentions. Thank you."
At a loss for how to respond, Ashe felt a flicker of curiosity about how the system had come to know the word "excellent" (or rather, "prestige"). But she had a nagging sense that any question would be brushed off. She abandoned the thought.
Outside the examination pod.
Yu Qin and Lian Feng uploaded the compiled data on Ashe as a backup. Then they began reviewing Qilin's detailed information.
"Shenhe Sniper."
"Development objectives: Beyond-visual-range combat (achieved), Learning capability enhancement (achieved), Decapitation strike tactical analysis (achieved)..."
After reading through Qilin's file, the two exchanged a glance. Compared to Ashe's data—which lacked certain permissions—Qilin's was far simpler and easier to understand. But that didn't mean Qilin's Super Gene was weak. The two were clearly designed for different combat environments. One specialized in frontal engagement and crowd control. The other in covert ambush and single-target elimination. Different development goals naturally led to distinct genes. Regardless, for Earth's Super Seminary at this moment, both were indispensable combat assets.
"Alright, Yu Qin, the check is done. Go open the instruments and wake them up."
"Okay, okay." She flashed an OK sign with one hand. Yu Qin walked over to Ashe's examination pod. Her peach-blossom eyes narrowed slightly, as if she had some scheme in mind. She opened the pod with practiced ease. Just as Ashe inside was about to open her eyes and sit up, Yu Qin leaned in with great enthusiasm, one hand gently supporting Ashe's shoulder. The other hand, seemingly casual, brushed lightly over Ashe's impressive assets. Sensing something, Ashe looked at Yu Qin. The latter gave her a playful wink. Then she turned and walked to Qilin's pod, ready to wake her. Without overthinking it, Ashe placed one hand on the pod's edge, pushed lightly, and vaulted out. Lian Feng stepped forward, handing a stack of documents to Ashe as she spoke.
"It's been confirmed, Ashe. You are a gene inheritor of the Shenhe Civilization, with the gene model Blade of the End. I've listed out your specific gene abilities. Rest assured, we'll arrange a training plan tailored to your Super Gene. However, according to the available data, you also have a separate weapon vault. If it's convenient, could you try accessing it? Or do you remember how you summoned your weapon?"
"I remember." So saying, Ashe extended her hand. The pale purple Grasscutter's Light materialized directly in her grasp. "But my current permissions are quite low. This is the only weapon I can summon. As for what else is in that vault, I have no idea."
"Mm-hmm." Lian Feng didn't doubt her. Many Super Soldiers were like this—without relevant gene upgrades, certain permissions remained locked. One reason was to prevent the gene engine from overloading under an unmanageable computational load. Another was to prevent the Super Soldier from being unable to protect or use their abilities, should the dark space be breached. That could leak gene data, giving enemies intelligence and leaving backdoors in the dark space. Deno had encountered a similar situation before. So Lian Feng didn't dwell on Ashe's explanation. But in truth, Ashe was certainly not limited to summoning just one weapon.
