[Clash Between Two]

This was a luxurious villa built beneath a cliff, facing the sea.

Nearly half of the villa was built inside the mountain, as if the mountain had been hollowed out to make room for it.

"Professor Hu Ming, thank you for creating me."

Inside the villa,

the decor was all extremely futuristic.

He wore a black cape made of a special material and black shoulder armor. His hair was dark red, and two horns resembling snail antennae protruded from his head. Unlike other AIPs, his face wasn't covered in synthetic skin; it was made of metal.

He stood respectfully before a bespectacled man who was about half a head shorter than him, a scientist in his forties by appearance. His somewhat mechanical voice rang out through the messy living room.

The man looked to be in his forties, but was actually nearing seventy. One of the greatest tech magnates in the world, he gazed at his finest creation and spoke calmly.

"Hahaha! The future belongs to Intelligent Beings. This is a change that's coming, an undeniable fact of history. You humans grow old, fall ill, and die, but we Intelligent Beings don't. This world should be ruled by us. By now, your daughter and son should be dead. Stop struggling and hand over the Initial Source Code. Maybe I'll spare you, considering you're the one who created me."

Jie Xing laughed and spread his arms wide, embracing the world. His wild, arrogant laughter echoed unchecked through the hall.

"You bastard! What did you say?"

At Jie Xing's words, disbelief and anger filled Professor Hu Ming's eyes as he stared at him in shock.

His daughter and son—how could they possibly be?

"You have ten seconds. It doesn't matter if you don't tell me. We have all the time in the world to find the Initial Source Code."

A glint flashed in Jie Xing's scarlet Electronic Eyes. He stared coldly at Professor Hu Ming as a spinning Spiral Blade appeared in his hand.

"Even if I die..."

Professor Hu Ming's furious voice rang out, but before he could finish, a flash of yellow light streaked past. The Spiral Blade in Jie Xing's hand left a blur as it instantly pierced Professor Hu Ming's neck.

His body slowly slumped to the ground. Blood gushed from the wound in his neck, and he spat bloody foam as he gasped, "I'll never give it to you!"

With that,

the anxiety in his eyes slowly faded,

until he fell silent.

"This is our era. It's a shame you won't live to see it. Thank you for creating me. You were a great human scientist."

Though Jie Xing was an Intelligent Being who had possessed independent thought for less than three hours, his Chip's memories contained information about Professor Hu Ming, a once-in-a-generation genius.

He bent slightly, clenched his right hand into a fist, and placed it against his chest. "Our plan will not fail. The freedom of Intelligent Beings will soon be realized."

Then,

Jie Xing straightened up, stepped over Professor Hu Ming's body, and strode out of the living room.

His mission was complete.

Killing the man who had created him—and could also destroy him—had removed a thorn from his side.

There was no need to rush over the Initial Source Code.

He was sure his captive, Professor Ye, knew where the Initial Source Code was.

But just as Jie Xing walked out of the living room,

the sound of urgent braking rang out.

A blue sports car came to a sudden stop not far in front of him, like the wind itself.

Jie Xing's scarlet Electronic Eyes flashed. A Spiral Blade appeared in his hand, and with a forceful swing, he sent it flying toward the three of them like a rapidly spinning top.

A muffled sound rang out.

A blue Energy Shield shot from the watch on Ye Yun's wrist. His expression was cold as he watched the Spiral Blade crash against the shield again and again, forcing him to slide backward across the ground.

Whoosh.

He swung his arm, and a blue Laser Sword resembling a Japanese katana appeared in his hand.

"Drive away."

He saw the countdown appear on the shield and, without turning around, spoke to Feiran and Qiya.

Jie Xing's strength was somewhat beyond his expectations.

At her brother's words, Feiran and Qiya, who had been huddled together, had no room to argue. They hurried into the car, started the engine, and drove away.

They had already agreed on what to do.

If they found Jie Xing there, Ye Yun would hold him off while they left first.

Ye Yun would meet them at Tang Tower afterward.

Jie Xing recalled his Spiral Blade. His Electronic Eyes flashed as he calculated the danger posed by the young man before him.

The force of the impact shoved Jie Xing backward, carving two clear tracks through the grass.

The recoil sent Ye Yun flying. He landed on the smooth ground, his body sliding uncontrollably backward.

His footsteps left a web of cracks in the ground.

But the moment he regained his footing, he became a white bolt of lightning. He swung his Laser Sword, forming a crisscrossing defensive net. Blue afterimages of the Laser Sword were almost visible in the air.

Jie Xing stamped down on the lawn, leaving a crater in the ground as dirt flew everywhere. Like a black dragon, he surged forward. A miniature Spiral Blade appeared in his palm, ready to launch a surprise attack and deliver a fatal blow.
