This is a luxury villa built beneath a cliff, facing the sea.
Nearly half of the villa is constructed inside the mountain, as if the mountain itself had been hollowed out to build it.
"Professor Hu Ming, thank you for creating me."
Inside the villa.
The decor is entirely sci-fi in style.
A figure stands there—a black cape of special material, black shoulder armor, deep red hair, two horn-like protrusions on his head resembling snail antennae. His face is not made of bionic skin like other AIPs, but crafted from metal.
He stands respectfully before a bespectacled middle-aged scientist, nearly half a head shorter than himself, appearing to be in his forties. His voice carries a mechanical tone as it echoes through the cluttered living room.
"I don't know whether it was Ye Zhen, Jian Jie, or Qin Hui who did this, but if you think you can get your hands on the Initial Source Code, you're living in a fantasy."
This man, whose face looks forty-something but is actually nearly seventy, stands at the very pinnacle of the world's technological elite. He gazes calmly at his finest creation before him and speaks flatly.
"Hahaha, the future belongs to Intelligent Beings. That's an inevitable truth, an indisputable chapter of history. You humans have birth, aging, sickness, and death, but we Intelligent Beings do not. This world was meant to be ruled by us. By now, your daughter and son should be dead. Stop struggling. Hand over the Initial Source Code obediently, and perhaps I'll spare you out of consideration that you are my creator."
Jie Xing laughs heartily, spreading his arms as if to embrace the world. His wild, arrogant laughter echoes unchecked through the hall.
"Bastard, what did you say?"
Hearing Jie Xing's words, Professor Hu Ming's eyes fill with disbelief. He glares at him in fury, speaking with incredulity.
His own daughter and son? How could that be?
"You have ten seconds. Even if you don't speak, it's no problem. We have all the time in the world to find the Initial Source Code."
Jie Xing's scarlet Electronic Eye flickers with light as he coldly stares at Professor Hu Ming. A Spiral Blade spins continuously in his hand.
"Even if I die—"
Professor Hu Ming's furious voice rings out, but before he can finish, a flash of yellow light streaks past. The Spiral Blade in Jie Xing's hand leaves an afterimage, instantly piercing through Professor Hu Ming's neck.
His body slowly crumples to the floor. Blood gushes from the wound in his neck, and foam bubbles from his mouth as he chokes out: "I won't give it to you!"
With those words.
The anxiety in his eyes gradually fades.
Until his voice falls silent.
"An era belonging to us—pity you won't live to see it. Thank you for creating me. You were a great human scientist."
Though Jie Xing is an Intelligent Being, having possessed independent thought for less than three hours, his Chip memory contains information about Professor Hu Ming—a prodigy of his generation.
He bends slightly, clenching his right hand into a fist and placing it over his chest, and says: "Our plan will not fail. The freedom of Intelligent Beings will be realized in the near future."
Then.
Jie Xing straightens up, steps over Professor Hu Ming's body, and strides arrogantly out of the Living Room.
His mission is complete.
Killing the man who created him—and could also destroy him—removes a thorn in his side.
The matter of the Initial Source Code is not urgent.
He trusts that his captive, Professor Ye, surely knows where the Initial Source Code is.
But just as Jie Xing steps out of the Living Room.
A screech of brakes cuts through the air.
A blue supercar stops abruptly not far in front of him, like the wind itself.
Seeing this car appear.
Surprise flickers in Jie Xing's scarlet eyes. How could they not be dead?
Impossible.
His subordinates could not have failed.
The car door opens.
Two women and one man step out, staring at the Intelligent Being.
Feiran and Qiya's faces show tension as they warily watch Jie Xing.
As Professor Hu Ming's daughters, they naturally know who this is.
Their father's most outstanding creation.
But realizing this Intelligent Being has come out of their own home, Feiran and Qiya's faces turn pale.
They dare not imagine what has happened inside.
"Perfect. Since you haven't died yet, I'll see you off myself."
Jie Xing's scarlet Electronic Eye flickers. The Spiral Blade appears in his hand. With a fierce throw, the blade spins like a top, flying toward the three of them.
"Thud."
A dull sound rings out.
A blue Energy Shield erupts from the wristwatch on Ye Yun's arm. His face cold, he watches the Spiral Blade slam into the shield, spinning relentlessly, forcing him to slide backward across the ground.
"Shua."
He flicked his arm, and a blue laser sword resembling a Japanese katana appeared in his hand.
"Drive away."
He watched the countdown appear on the shield, not turning his head as he spoke to Feiran and Qiya.
Jie Xing's strength was somewhat unexpected.
Hearing her brother's words, Feiran and Qiya, still embracing each other, had no room to refuse. They quickly got into the car, started the engine, and drove away.
They had already discussed it.
If Jie Xing was found here, Ye Yun would hold him off while they left first.
Afterward, Ye Yun would go to Tang Tower to find them.
"You're the most interesting human I've ever met."
Jie Xing withdrew his Spiral Blade, his Electronic Eye flickering as he calculated the danger posed by the youth before him.
Because his Spiral Blade's powerful impact hadn't sent him flying—it had only pushed him back less than two meters across the ground.
Now that was interesting.
"Hmph."
Ye Yun didn't speak, only let out a cold snort. He put away the Energy Shield, which was already fading and wouldn't be usable for another three hours, then charged forward with his laser sword in hand.
Even though his Super Gene couldn't be used, dealing with this Intelligent Being should be no trouble, right?
He leaped into the air, laser sword raised for a slash, leaving an afterimage in the sky.
"Buzz."
Jie Xing's face was full of solemnity as he watched the incoming attack. He respected every person who swung a weapon at him, because they would soon become souls beneath his hand.
Using some unknown method, the Spiral Blade in his hand suddenly enlarged and clashed against the laser sword aimed at his head.
Sparks burst forth the moment the weapons met.
Jie Xing, driven by the fierce impact, was forcibly pushed back, leaving two clear gouges in the grass.
Ye Yun was sent flying by the recoil, landing on the smooth ground, his body uncontrollably sliding backward.
Cracks like a spiderweb spread beneath his feet.
But the moment he steadied himself, he turned into a white flash of lightning, swinging his laser sword to form a cross-shaped defensive net. Blue afterimages of the blade were almost visible in the air.
Jie Xing stomped on the lawn, leaving a depression in the ground. Dirt flew everywhere as he moved like a black dragon. A miniature Spiral Blade appeared in his palm, ready to launch a sneak attack and deliver a fatal blow.
