Background / History

Li Yu originally lived alone in a rented room in Qingyun City. A frustrated Honor of Kings player, he suffered a seventh consecutive defeat before going to collect laundry during a storm. A meteor then struck him on the rooftop, rendering him unconscious. 1

He reappeared inside a silver-white sphere that crossed the void and descended into the Super God Academy world. Materializing in an alley in Tianhe City, Li Yu recognized the setting as an exceptionally dangerous world and despaired over being penniless—until he activated a system spirit, whom he named Xiao Na. 2

With 1,000 starting Faith Points, Li Yu chose not to spend them immediately on ordinary items. After learning that they could materialize a Golden Immortal-level Sun Wukong from A Chinese Odyssey, he had Xiao Na transport him to Flower Fruit Mountain and prepared the mountain for a high-impact public manifestation. 3 4

Appearance

Li Yu is first depicted in casual clothing during his life in Qingyun City. When confronting Morgana, he adopts an elaborate mythic-warrior appearance created through system equipment and staging. 1 17 19

Personality

Li Yu is impulsive, boastful, and easily frustrated. His initial reaction to losing in Honor of Kings is to curse his teammates and insist that the opposing team was incompetent, while Xiao Na later exposes his claimed “top player” status as Bronze II. 1 19

Despite his immaturity, he is opportunistic and highly conscious of spectacle. He repeatedly plans his manifestations, broadcasts, entrances, and displays of power around their potential to generate Faith Points. His decision to stage Supreme Treasure’s awakening at Flower Fruit Mountain and his dragon-backed entrance against Morgana both reflect this approach. 3 4 19

Li Yu also tends to improvise poorly when events do not follow his imagined script. Morgana’s refusal to react as expected to his entrance leaves him internally scrambling for a response. 19

Confrontation with Morgana

After sensing Morgana’s energy heading toward Huang Village, Li Yu starts a broadcast titled “Live Broadcast: Beating Up the Ancient Evil God Morgana.” He equips Immortal Artifacts, creates a grand entrance atop a Five-clawed Golden Dragon, and challenges her as a “false god.” Morgana’s Demon's Claw cannot harm him, forcing her to withdraw with Ato under the pretense of illness. 16 17 19 20

Recasting the Heavenly Court

Using his accumulated resources, Li Yu creates a new Heavenly Court centered on the Lingxiao Treasure Hall. He summons 100,000 Heavenly Soldiers and Heavenly Generals to operate it, then considers acquiring an incomplete Jade Emperor because he cannot afford the complete ruler of the Three Realms. 22
