The Royal Zombie launched the Corpse Demon Disaster by leading its Corpse Oni horde to overrun Violet Forest City and attack settlements across the region. After learning the city had fallen, Zi Xinglong and the others set out to check on nearby Lanlin Town and decide whether to evacuate its people or confront the Royal Zombie.

• The Royal Zombie changed the weather to block sunlight and ordered the Corpse Oni to turn the distant city’s residents into their kind and food.
• The Corpse Oni broke through Violet Forest City’s gates, killed or captured its residents, and left only a few survivors to escape.
• The Royal Zombie led the horde onward to attack other cities, towns, and villages under the darkened sky.
• A Spirit Hall Spirit Master reported Violet Forest City’s fall to Zi Xinglong, Zhu Lingyun, Dai Changkong, Yoriichi Tsugikuni, and the others in Violet Luo City.
• Zi Xinglong and the others decided to head to nearby Lanlin Town to evacuate its people if it was still safe or confront the Royal Zombie if it had already attacked.

Qiao Feng and the others rushed to Lanlin Town to rescue its residents from the Corpse Demon Disaster, while the younger generation returned to Violet Luo City. Bai Luo secretly transformed into the Mysterious Old Beggar, and the group was ambushed by Corpse Oni as a figure descended from the storm clouds.

• Qiao Feng led a group of powerful fighters and Soul Masters toward Lanlin Town, while Ke Zhen'e took the remaining younger generation back to Violet Luo City to warn the city lord.
• Dai Mubai went to Snow Moon Tower after Bai Luo declined his invitation, and Zhu Zhuqing left with Meng Yiran to practice Breathing Techniques.

Yoriichi Tsugikuni and Li Xunhuai could kill them with Ripple Power, but the Royal Zombie targeted them as five Corpse Ghoul Protectors moved to block the other fighters.

• As the sky darkened and Corpse Oni erupted from the ground, Qiao Feng sent Zi Xinglong to evacuate Lanlin Town’s residents to Violet Luo City.
• Qiao Feng, the Peerless Dragon Snake, Zhu Lingyun’s couple, and Dai Changkong’s couple attacked the horde, but the Corpse Oni quickly regenerated from their injuries.

• Yoriichi Tsugikuni failed to stop the Royal Zombie's lightning and was struck, grievously wounded, and hurled away.

• Bai Luo descended through the clouds with Buddha's Palm, and its golden light burned many Corpse Oni to ash.
