The Reflecting Type was just the opposite. Its apertures were basically never smaller than 100 millimeters. Of course, smaller ones did exist, but they were uncommon.
For the Reflecting Type, Zhang Yi planned to produce three models: 120, 150, and 203 millimeters.
After all, for ordinary astronomy enthusiasts, an astronomical telescope with a 203-millimeter aperture was already sufficient. If anyone needed something larger, they would have to come to his factory for a custom order.
Lastly came the catadioptric type. He planned to produce the same models as the Reflecting Type.
Thus, after the equipment Zhang Yi had ordered arrived, he had Xiao Hua and the others modify it.
At the same time, he began purchasing the raw materials needed to manufacture this Special Glass. Like ordinary glass, its primary raw materials were Quartz Sand and the like. These materials were naturally easy to acquire. The key was having money—if one had money, one could buy as much as one wanted.
What concerned him most were the rare metals needed to produce this glass. Fortunately, the Special Glass developed by Jia Qing did not contain any strategic elements, so he found a supplier online. Naturally, the price was not cheap.
