Personal Analysis of the Chizuru Clan

Therefore, I will share my perspective on the Chizuru Clan and provide some analytical data.

First, the Chizuru Clan does not have the blessing of a Destiny, nor do they consume other longevity-increasing or decreasing drugs, nor do they fall ill. Their average lifespan is around 700 years.

The data here comes from three murals revealed during the main story quest "[A Dragon Swims, Its Depths Unfathomable]" and was narrated by Dan Heng.

It is not explicitly stated here how many years the Chizuru Clan's childhood lasts. Online, it is generally believed to be around 200 years.

Even if the author calculates based on the proportion of childhood in humans, the Chizuru Clan's childhood would still require 140 years.

Also, please clarify one thing beforehand: in Honkai: Star Rail, neither the Xianzhou Celestials nor the Chizuru Clan have any in-game text describing them developing into adult individuals in a short period (by normal human standards: a few years) after entering adolescence. (While some online sources claim Xianzhou people can develop quickly, there is no textual evidence, and it's likely speculation from forums.)

Furthermore, delayed development is common among the Chizuru Clan (from Bailu's character story - 4).

However, despite Bailu's individual combat strength, an ordinary Mara-struck monster can still frighten her into trembling. In terms of direct combat capability, let alone the Cloud Knights, she can only bully ordinary civilians who haven't cultivated by controlling water and lightning. (Though she is indeed fast at escaping.)

Yet, even with this combat power, she is already superior to all Chizuru Clan members who haven't specifically cultivated.

Therefore, don't talk about the Chizuru Clan having innate supernatural combat power. In reality, the Chizuru Clan merely has high talent. If they don't cultivate properly, they can't even defeat a Foxfolk.

This is also true for Xianzhou people. There is in-game text stating that uncultivated Xianzhou people are weaker in agility than uncultivated Foxfolk. (The text comes from the Martial Arts Ceremony version, a voice line from a defeated Xianzhou person refusing to concede.)

The only in-game text that supports the Chizuru Clan's physical fitness being superior to ordinary people comes from the "Dragon Coiling, Qiu Leaping" pharmacology chapter in [The Myriad-Self · Evidence Collection].

The original text states: "For short-lived species, this drug purely grafts the power of the Dragon Ancestor into their bodies. This crude grafting can indeed bring about a short-term improvement in physical functions, causing a qualitative leap in the originally fragile physical functions of short-lived species. However, after the Dragon Descendant cells from the initial grafting all die from the immune system, the recipient's various physical indicators will suffer immense decline, and only other 'miracle elixirs' developed by The Myriad-Self can likely inhibit or even reverse this decline."

However, the "physical functions" mentioned here, in context, refer to rejuvenation and enhanced recovery, not hardening of the skin or immense strength.

Moreover, this so-called leap is targeted at ordinary short-lived humans, not when compared to Xianzhou people.

Next, let's discuss the Xianzhou martial arts system.

First, Xianzhou people are generally martial.

However, in practice, the Xianzhou NPCs on the Luofu map and at various Martial Arts Ceremony locations all demonstrate one fact.

Unless Xianzhou people join the Cloud Knights or have family traditions, what they learn are just deceptive tricks. (There's too much text, with various boxing gym advertisements and the Seven Gourd Brothers incident.)

Furthermore, don't assume these fake techniques are impressive on other planets. Many of these individuals haven't even defeated ordinary mortal martial artists who aren't Aeons. (This is not referring to Luka.)

Finally, the author must emphasize one point: the Cloud Knights are very strong. Even the ordinary soldiers and captain-level officers are extremely powerful.

Additionally, here's a point: the author believes that the Cloud Knight participants in the Martial Arts Ceremony do not use overly advanced technological weapons. Instead, they switch to ordinary swords and armor. Using military equipment in a martial arts competition would be outright bullying to the visiting martial artists. (There is no in-game text to support this, it's just the author's personal feeling that the Luofu should have some dignity.)

PS: Please disregard the text from [Martial Arts Ceremony Anecdotes]. It explicitly states that the content is half true and half false, and likely the journalist's own imaginings.

The reason they feel like cannon fodder in the game is because their opponents are stronger. Stellaron Hunters cannot be judged by the standards of ordinary Aeon users, and the same applies to the Express Crew.

Summary:

The Chizuru Clan cannot be equated with traditional "dragon-blooded" races. The notion of them having naturally high combat power is clearly unfounded. (If you disagree, please provide specific in-game text to refute this. Don't just call the author ignorant. At 200 years old, a Chizuru Clan member is only equivalent to an 18-year-old human, far from being an adult.

Also, I'd like to mention that many people seem unaware of a basic setting in Type-Moon.

Even Divine Era Magicians, if lacking in close combat, can be KO'd in a few moves by a modern mage who is inferior to them in all aspects.

Rin Tohsaka did exactly that to Medea in the UBW route.

Don't say Medea has poor physical stats here; she has Strength E, Endurance D, Agility C.

As everyone knows, as long as a Heroic Spirit doesn't have special debuffs, even an E rank is superior to a well-trained magus, unless the magus has special buffs. (Teacher fighting Saber.)

Yet, when Rin defeated Medea, she only used reinforcement magic to strengthen her body, not any secret techniques.

This is also the main reason why the protagonist, as a magus, feels their close combat is too poor and they are easily defeated by being approached.
