The Golden Crow had traveled across the sky for a day, while the Jade Rabbit had begun to rise slowly on the other side.
A streak of purple light flew from the direction of the Monster Beast Mountain Range and landed outside a small courtyard.

Cai Lin sat idly nearby. She glanced at the returning Xiao Yi Xian and spoke lazily.
Xiao Yi Xian watched Cai Lin twirl her red hair around her fingers and said apologetically, "I'm back. Sorry about today. I went to pay respects to my mother."
