After Flying Dragon Bridge was blown up, the refugees on the southern bank had few options left: either head east along the river or go south.
If they went east, this small town was practically unavoidable.
It was about two hundred kilometers from Baldur's Gate, with the Chongsa River to the north, Jagged Forest a dozen or so kilometers to the south, and the ruins of the Fortress of the Lord of Dawn to the east.
Of course, the town was not safe. If Underdark Creatures came charging in, there was almost nothing to defend.
But at least for now, the town remained peaceful. Its size had expanded severalfold, and refugee camps were everywhere around it. Tents and wooden shacks had sprung up like mushrooms after rain.
Along the riverbank, at the edge of the forest, and on the farms—people struggling to make a living could be seen everywhere, most of them human.
Everyone was doing their best to survive.
