He Xi hadn't had time to get a closer look before the ghost turned into a phantom and charged straight at the hand mirror.

"Bruce!" He Xi immediately gave the order.

Bruce reacted with incredible speed. He darted forward and snatched the hand mirror off the wall in his jaws.

Almost the instant Bruce got his hands on it, a loud "Holy Light Protect Me!" rang out, and Loris came pounding down the stairs, clad in battered armor and covered in dust.

The member of the Hand of Radiance looked rather worse for wear. His bright white armor was covered in fresh dents and scratches, with cracks in several places.

He clutched his War Hammer in one hand and pressed the other firmly against the center of his breastplate. Pale golden healing light seeped between his fingers—he was clearly casting some kind of Healing Spell on himself.

However, when he saw the scene before him, he froze.

A tremendous pressure descended on him.

The ghost girl, radiating intense resentment, stood in the shadows at the back.

To the left was the Strange Dog that could spit fire; to the right, the elusive rogue. And directly in front of him stood the genius mage who had fought "shoulder to shoulder" with him not long ago!

In an instant, a tragic scene took shape in his mind: this undead creature was so powerful that it had not only controlled all those skeletons, but had even taken control of the powerful adventuring party he had once acknowledged!

If he could, he would have liked to cast a flash of holy light to illuminate his escape route.

If he were simply outmatched, he might have chosen to retreat for now and gather the members of the Hand of Radiance to discuss their next move.
