After confirming that the Teleportation Magic Array was working properly, Fivik decided to seal off the passage ahead of the Dungeon entrance, somewhere along the corridor where the Goblins lived.
They had now confirmed that the person called the Oracle—or another Black Robe Person—had used the Teleportation Magic Array here. That meant they were far away and unlikely to come back through this passage.
Physically sealing the passage from the outside would prevent anyone from wandering in by mistake, or adventurers drawn by the news from entering.
After all, they had used Teleportation Spell to get nearby, but the adventurers who had heard about the new Dungeon would almost certainly start flooding in within a few days.
If someone triggered the Alarm Spell Fivik had left behind, or simply barged in and disturbed Flora's research, that would be a problem too.
Thinking about how their teacher had been busy the whole time, modifying the array and setting up the alarm, while he had done little more than watch, He Xi felt that, as her apprentice, he really ought to help out.
So he volunteered, saying, "Teacher, let me handle sealing the entrance."
Fivik was just about to raise her hand and cast a spell, but stopped and eyed her good apprentice suspiciously.
She appreciated that He Xi wanted to help, but as far as she knew, her apprentice had only recently begun learning magic. He knew a handful of spells at most, and she didn't think he had learned one powerful enough to seal such a large opening.
"You?"
"What spell are you going to use?"
He Xi answered with three words: "Earth Spike Technique."
"Earth Spike Technique?"
Fivik almost laughed. "You expect to block the entrance with that? How long would that take? And there'd definitely be huge gaps..."
