"Stewed Knocker?"
Someone knocked on a door and got stewed?
And judging by the Half-Orc's tone, it seemed to be a local specialty dish?
But hadn't Mister Galen said he was going to find other substitutes for himself?
He Xi waved his hand. "Give me a break, Grimm. The usual—two servings of your signature roasted ribs, extra bones, and two cups of Orcish Liquor."
Then, seemingly realizing that the dish's name was a strange coincidence, he turned sideways and gave a brief explanation.
Grimm also swept his gaze over the figure behind He Xi. Although he couldn't see the other party's face beneath the hood, that dangerous aura made him realize he was dealing with a formidable individual.
"This guy rarely orders liquor. Since he has earned Galen's approval, you must be quite a character yourself."
Trist gave a slight bow in response.
He Xi said with a smile, "Although this friend has never been here before, he's a devoted fan of your exclusive Special Sauce." The jar I brought back last time earned nothing but praise from him. Before we leave, I'll have to buy two more jars from you to take with us."
"Oh? Really?"
When he heard someone praising his sauce, the smile on Grimm's face grew even brighter. "Hahaha! Excellent taste! Since you're a connoisseur, I'll give you those two jars! Wait here—I'll serve you the finest meat right away!"
A moment later.
Two plates of Cracked Hoof Bull ribs, exuding an enticing charred aroma, were brought to the table.
Trist stared at the cut of meat, its color a glossy red and its surface coated in thick sauce. His Adam's apple visibly bobbed.
He picked up a small knife, quickly cut off a piece, and put it into his mouth.
The next second.
"This..."
